The 2015 Student Sustainability Film Festival is now encouraging and accepting entries from high school and college students across North America. Students create short films about programs and projects that their campus or community is doing to create sustainable solutions to environmental concerns.

The films should be inspired by real-life events, issues or solutions. For example, has your campus put up a wind turbine? Solar panels?  Students should examine how and if their school is encouraging alternative modes of transportation, or could consider how their college’s food services has chosen to reduce waste.

The winning film will be awarded a $1,000 cash prize.  Top scoring entries will be submitted to our partners, Green Living Project, giving students a chance to win prize packages up to $1,000 in value from Mountainsmith, The North Face, Pura Vida, and more!

Submissions will be judged by an esteemed board of environmental activists and award-winning filmmakers.  This year our judges include Garrett Brennan, Executive Director of Focus the Nation, Andrew Hinton, Producer for Pilgrim Films and Director of the award-winning short “Amar” and Matt Martin, Editor for No Impact Man.
