Kaia Sand of Street Roots

A poet, artist, and activist, Kaia Sand is the new director of Street Roots. She's the author of several books, and also works on "dislodging poetry from the book into more unconventional contexts." She believes in the necessary influence of visible homelessness, and in her new role, is awed by the mechanisms of street corner newspaper vendors.
