Radio U is a partnership program between the Media Institute for Social Change and XRAY.FM radio station. The course presents instruction for the journalist and technical skills necessary to produce audio documentaries. Students will attend a weekly intensive workshops at XRAY studios where they learn and practice digital recording and editing. Students will be introduced to a variety of radio shows, podcasts, and essays to study interview techniques and narrative structure, and ultimately develop their own short audio documentary.

Thank you for your interest in Radio U, our next session will be offered on Mondays from 6:30-8:30pm October 3rd -November 21st. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until September 30th. The course costs $50 to the public, and $25 for XRAY Members. Scholarships are available to those who need it. Please email for questions.
